RICHARD WILLSThe work of Richard Wills reflects the contrast within the people, and landscape of South Wales. His work includes portraiture,natural and industrial landscapes, sporting scenes and exploration of abstract images.Wills was born in the Wye Valley and trained in Newport, narrowly missing out national honours as a first class rugby player. Wills' work has been chosen for regular hanging at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition and in other leading exhibitions and galleries. He uses oils to paint the hard landscapes of Wales and has also been described as one of the countrys leading exponents in watercolour technique. |
