VIVIENNE LUXTONViv Luxton studied painting at St Martin's School of Art, London where she gained her N.N.D in 1963. She then went on to study film and television at the Royal College of Art and was awarded an M.A. (1966). After a career in the film industry it was not until she moved to Gloucestershire in 1969 and started a family that she returned to painting. She tought Art at Stroud College of F.E for 16 years. I 1992 she moved to Powys, to combine farming with painting.She has exhibited at the R.A., the R.W.A, the Albany Gallery Cardiff, The Cheltenham Group, The Yew-Tree Gallery Slad, The Fiery Gallery Painswick, The Millfields School " Open" where she was highly commended, ad at the Mikell Gallery, Hay on Wye. Her work has been bought by Stroud District Council,St Margaret's Hospice, Westbury-on-Trym, Gloucester Hospital and Cheltenham Hospital. It is many private collections in he U.K and abroad. |
