VALERIE GANZValerie Ganz was born in Swansea . She attended Swansea Art College and studied Painting ,Sculpture and Stained Glass.The industrial subjects of South Wales has always interested her and features in much of her work, in particular the Mining industry. To fully understand the subjects moved to the valley of Six Bells ,Abertillery for a year to work alongside the miners both above ground and at the coalface. Then later at Tower Colliery. Valerie has become recognised for this work which is held in many Public and Private collections worldwide. She travels a lot and is able to persue her love of Jazz in this country and wherever she is. Her paintings of jazz musicians is a theme running through her work. Valerie has just returned from some months in Argentina where she travelled into the Patagonian desert to paint Oil Rigs ,the results are now hanging in Buenos Aires.
